Nemo Jantzen

Biography:

Nemo Jantzen, born in 1970 in The Hague, Netherlands, grew up in a family of artists and musicians. Surrounded by creativity, he developed a passion for visual arts at an early age and studied art and design at the RTO Art Academy in Rotterdam. After traveling the world and working as a graphic designer and billboard artist in Antwerp, Belgium, he settled in Spain to focus on fine art.

Jantzen has exhibited in galleries across Europe and the United States and participated in major international art fairs in London, Amsterdam, Singapore, New York, and Miami. His work is held in prominent private and public collections worldwide. Today, he works from studios in Barcelona and New York, staying connected to the contemporary art scene and keeping his practice fresh and innovative.

His early works used pop inspired imagery, recontextualizing photojournalism and advertising, later evolving to cinematic stills that tap into visual collective memory. In his current series, Jantzen selects hundreds of photographic images by color and theme, arranging them inside crystal spheres to create large portraits and compositions. This approach pushes neo pointillism forward, blending countless moments and stories into vibrant works that invite viewers to explore both the details and the larger narrative.
